When I acquired my faith I wanted to learn more,
But on opening the bible I just didn't know how to explore.
I was eager to learn but I didn't know what to do,
Until I saw an advert for the Emmanuel bible course which I wrote to.

Learning the bible in this way makes it easier for you,
You say a quiet prayer before you begin for God to guide you through.
The tutor practically gives you the answers to help you out,
But there is still a lot of study and searching the bible without a doubt.

In my life so far I have achieved nothing so I'm eager to learn,
More knowledge of the Lord my God for this I do yearn.
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Acts and Romans carry on,
This very worthwhile rhyme my tutor taught me in lesson one.

I learn a little everyday but I'm always eager to learn more,
Two months on and I find parts of the bible as easy as food in a store.
A bit at a time easy does it is very good indeed,
Like water to a plant we are learning to feed the seed.
